Basic floor heating Installation Instructions:

Plan heater layout before securing the heating to the subfloor in order to ensure it will fit properly into the floor space available
Unroll the floor heater and secure it using the adhesive tape; can also be glued down for further stability if required
To start a new row, cut the mesh without cutting the heater element and swing the heater in the direction of your next run
Repeat this process until the entire heater is laid

1. Is it possible to cut or shorten the mat?
It is forbidden to shorten the heating mat (cutting the heating cable). However, it is possible to cut the mesh to which the heating cable is attached, so that we can adjust the mat to the size of the room.

2. Can heating cables overlap?
It is forbidden to overlap or cross heating mats. The distance between the cables must be at least 8 cm.

3. What glue should be used for assembly?
To glue the substrate, it is necessary to use flexible adhesive for underfloor heating.

4. Is it possible to install a mat under the bathtub or shower tray?
It is prohibited to install the mat under the bathtub or shower tray.

5.Is it possible to assemble the mat yourself?
Yes. However, great care should be taken during installation to avoid damaging the heating cable.

6.Is the heating mat suitable under floor panels?
No, we do not install heating mats under floor panels. We install heating foil under the panels, which is available on our other auctions.

7.Can we connect the mat ourselves?
Unfortunately not. The heating mat is connected by an electrician with valid SEP qualifications.

8.Can a permanent structure be placed above the heating mat?
No, it is not recommended to install the mat under fixed structures and the minimum height of furniture legs above the mat is 3 cm.

9.What to do when the heating mat was damaged during assembly?
It should be reported to the electrician who made the math connection. The cause of the failure may be a malfunction of the controller, thermostat, sensor, damage to wires or mats.

10.How to check if the mat after assembly is working properly?
It is necessary to measure the resistance of the heating vein and insulation and compare them with the parameters in the technical documentation.

11.Is it possible to cross or apply heating cables?
No, the heating floor mat cannot be installed in a way that requires the application or interbreeding of the wires. The minimum interval between the wires should be 8 cm.
